Accra, Oct. 25, GNA - The Accra bourse made a marginal gain on Monday as the big push in the first half of the year evaporated. Gains in three equities - Fan Milk Limited, Mobil Oil Ghana Limited and Patterson Zochonis - pushed the GSE All-Share Index up to close at 2.14 points higher at 6,996.58 points sending the change for the year also up to 96.90 per cent from 96.84 per cent.
There were three price changes, all positive. Fan Milk Limited continued its good performance with a 200-cedi gain at 20,000 cedis, Mobil Oil Ghana Limited was 100 cedis better at 38,200 cedis and Patterson Zochonis made a rare gain, a 40-cedi hike, at 4,600 cedis.
Total number of shares that changed hands was lower at 43,600 shares from Friday's close of 130,000 shares. Market capitalisation closed higher at 97,194.48 billion cedis from 97,188.93 billion cedis in during the previous trading.
