Swiss Ambassador engages EOCO to deepen anti-corruption collaboration

The Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Simone Giger, has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration in the fight against corruption.

The engagement was shared on the official X page of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ghana on Friday, November 7, 2025.

“Ambassador Simone Giger paid a courtesy visit to EOCO’s Executive Director, Mr. Raymond Archer,” the post read.

The Embassy noted that discussions between the two focused on deepening partnerships among development partners and government institutions to advance anti-corruption initiatives in Ghana.

“They discussed strengthening collaboration between development partners and government in the fight against corruption,” the post added.

The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by both parties to promote good governance, transparency, and integrity in Ghana, in line with global best practices in the fight against corruption.

EOCO and QNET's joint operation leads to arrest of 320 individuals

EOCO, established under the Economic and Organised Crime Office Act, 2010 (Act 804), is mandated to monitor and investigate economic and organised crime, prosecute offenders, and recover the proceeds of crime.

The Office aims to enhance the integrity of Ghana’s economy and promote public confidence in the financial system.
