TOR says it is 60% operational

The Tema Oil Refinery, TOR, says it is currently refining crude oil at 60% capacity.

It has therefore described as inaccurate media reports that the refinery is wasting away.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Public Relations Officer of TOR, Aba Lokko said though lack of funding is affecting full operations, the refinery is also undergoing major rehabilitation.

Madam Lokko said TOR is capable of refining crude oil from the Jubilee field.

She said management is hopeful that the government will soon complete negotiations with Petro Saudi to enable TOR to refine crude oil consistently.
