Tata Motors launches cars in Ghana

Monday, October 16, 2006 (New Delhi): Tata Motors has launched its passenger vehicles in Ghana. The range includes the Indica hatchback, the Indigo sedan, the Indigo Station Wagon, the Sumo and the Safari Dicor.

Tata Motors is already present in Ghana with its commercial vehicles, which were launched in 1974 and have been well received in the market.

In Africa, Tata Motors markets both its passenger and commercial vehicle range.

The company is present in South Africa, Senegal, DR Congo, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda and Madagascar.

In South Africa, the largest market in the continent, the Tata brand is one of the fastest growing in the history of the country’s automobile market.
