A successful American Banker and a leading member of the ruling National Democratic Congress Hon. Michael Ologo has reminded Ghanaians that the fundamentals of the Ghanaian economy are still strong and what we need as a people is unyielding hope and abiding faith in the Government.
The youth activist gave the assurance to community and opinion leaders in somanya, sra in the Yilo Krobo Municipality in the eastern region as part of his confidence tour.
The unsuccessful NDC 2012 Parliamentary aspirant posited that “For as much as government can do and must do it is ultimately the faith and determination of the Ghanaian people upon which the government relies in its developmental efforts.
Hon. Ologo went on to say that “It is not the oil found that is going to make Ghanaians rich, but instead it is the Ghanaian spirit, the Ghanaian promise that pushes us forward even if the path is uncertain, and the spirit that binds us together in spite of our differences, the spirit that makes us fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen, that there are better places around the bend, and that promise is our greatest inheritance, That promise is what is driving immigrants across the ocean to the shores of Ghana.
The inspirational speaker mentioned further that, for any political party’s promises to be fulfilled requires not just money, but a renew sense of responsibility from each of us. The NDC led by H.E President John Dramani Mahama has big plans in the year 2014 by engaging the people at the grass root level, and put them to work, and open doors of opportunities for our children. And we can’t leave this problem for another generation to solve.
