About thirty executives of business and trade associations on Monday began a training programme on how to use the Internet to facilitate their businesses. The programme seeks to improve the skills of participants on the use of e-mail in the management of their businesses, appointments, duties as well as for documentation and trade promotion.

It is the second in the series to be organised by the Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development.

In remarks made on behalf of Dr Osei Boeh-Ocansey, Director General of PEF, Mr Louis Asomaning Bimpong said business executives needed to equip themselves with skills in the use of modern tools of information to enhance their operations and to speed up the growth of the private sector.

He said with the training, the executives would be able to access and share information, network with their colleagues both at home and broad as well as research on various topics for the development of their businesses.

Dr Boeh-Ocansey said the training programme would be extended to all the regions in line with the Foundation's aim to impart the skills to all business executives across the country.
