Total Petroleum pays courtesy call on Minister of Petroleum

Managing Director of Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd (TPGL), and Ada Eze, Total’s Executive Vice-President for West Africa, paid a courtesy call on the Petroleum Minister, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, in his office at the ministry.

The meeting was to inform Buah about Ada Eze’s visit and also to update the Minister about Total’s activities in the country for 2016.

Welcoming the dignitaries, the Minister acknowledged Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd (TPGL) for its long-term commitment to Ghana and emphasised the importance of Total’s commitment to better energy globally.

The Minister also highlighted on several projects that government has undertaken in both the upstream and downstream sectors of Ghana’s oil and gas industry.

Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (TPGL) is part of the global Total group, which is the fifth largest publicly-traded integrated international oil and gas company in the world with presence in over 100 countries.

The company has been operating in Ghana for more than 50 years and has over 210 service stations across the eastern and southern corridors of Ghana.

Ada Eze and Mr Olivier Van Parys thanked the Minister for the warm reception and assured him that Total will continue to remain a strong force in Ghana’s energy industry.

Other key dignitaries present were Benjamin Dagadu, Deputy Petroleum Minister; Prof Thomas Mba Akabzaa, Chief Director of the ministry; Mr Emmanuel Menyah-Hughes, External Affairs Manager of Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd; and Mr Samba Seye.
