Accra, April 21, GNA - A 25 man advanced party of business executive representing various companies from the United Arab Emirates are in the country to participate in trade exhibition, which opens in Accra on Monday.
Mr Waled Hareb, Leader of the delegation and also Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Consultancy LLC, told Journalist at the Airport that more than a hundred industrialists representing 45 companies from Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia and Saudi-Arabia would participate in the exhibition as well as explore investment opportunities in the country. The areas of investment include Banking, Information Technology, Auto-mobile and Agriculture among other areas.
He explained that from his exploratory visit to Ghana four years ago, he noted that the environment was ripe for his country to invest. "Investors always consider how investment friendly an environment is more than the millions of dollars they get from profit before investing."
The special aid to the Vice President Mr Yaw Buabeng Asamoa, who was at the airport to welcome the delegation, noted that Ghana was now reaching out to new markets outside the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS0 Sub-Region. He said these investments would create more jobs as well as expand Ghana's economy adding that a Government delegation would pay a reciprocal visit to Dubai. 21 April 06
