A Turkish investment organisation MUSAID is to invest about 1.5billion dollars in the Ghanaian economy. Areas of interest include housing, energy and infrastructure.

This came to light when the vice president, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah- Arthur met with the vice chairman of MUSIAD, responsible for foreign relations, Mutlu Bozkurt, on the side lines of the 16th Eurasian Economic Summit in Istanbul, Turkey.

A high powered delegation is expected in Ghana later this month to firm up the agreements. In a remark vice president Amissah-Arthur spoke about the huge deficit in the country’s infrastructural sector and thanked the Turkish investors for expressing the interest to invest in the sector.

He underscored the need for private investors to focus their attention to the housing sector to reduce the shortfall the sector is facing currently.
