Yale School of Management (Yale SOM) has welcomed to its campus the third Global Network African Faculty Fellow – Dr. Albert Ahenkan, a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Public Administration and Health Services Management at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).

He is currently teaching an elective course at the Yale SOM on Green Economy Management, which examines green economy and sustainable development issues in Africa.

He also spoke on the focus on the transition to an emerging green economy as a vehicle for achieving sustainable development in Africa.

Green Economy Management has grown in significance in the global development discourse and corporate executives as well. Governments and businesses in Africa continually face many hurdles in their sustainable development goals. It has, therefore, become increasingly clear that business executives, corporate managers, environmental professionals and the investment community should better understand these critical business and development challenges.

Dr. Ahenkan’s course focuses on the sustainable green economy and sustainable development of Africa while examining ways in which the emerging green economy addresses climate change-related challenges in Africa through private sector investment opportunities and innovations in businesses.

The Global Network African Faculty Fellowship has opened the gateway to exchanging best practices and enhancing business education across the network. While Dr. Ahenkan thanks UGBS for the support, the School, in turn, congratulates Dr. Albert Ahenkan on this achievement.
