UK High Commissioner to Ghana pays a courtesy call on Aviation Minister

The UK High Commissioner to Ghana Iain Walker paid a courtesy call to the minister of Aviation Joseph Kofi Adda Monday 8th July 2019.

During his visit he hinted of his government’s plans to support the aviation ministry by funding the Tamale airport extension through the UK Export Finance.

Mr. Iain Walker mentioned that the UK’s support to Ghana will go a long way to strengthen the relations between both countries and help in the economic development of the country.

“We are very keen on enabling the government envisage on that. In Tamale we are looking to work with the government to extend the vision of the airport to help Ghana increase the space of Ghana economic development.”

He also mentioned that the future of the UK relation is more about investments rather than aid.

Minister for Aviation Joseph Kofi Adda expressed gratitude to the UK government for their support towards the Aviation sector in Ghana especially the Tamale airport extension.

He further indicated that with the recent trends of infrastructure in aviation, Ghana’s vision to be the aviation hub of Africa is on course.

Mr. Adda however noted that with regards to the flooding at the terminal 3, work is currently on going and in the next few weeks inspection will be carried out.
