UNILEVER Launches 'Ideatrophy'

As part of efforts to contribute their quota to building the capacity of youth below the ages of 24 and in the various universities in the country, Unilever Ghana Limited has launched a competition called Ideatrophy.

By this students in groups are to bring business ideas for scrutiny by a panel of judges on how they could manage real life issues to get them to personally develop “different perspectives, unique business experience” among others for a life time preparation.

The Human Resource Director for Unilever, Mr. Sampson Dontoh explained that the competition is an initiative by the Company designed to create an “out of the classroom” learning experience to provide a unique experience and knowledge for all life time journeys of participants.

He said this is as part of the Company’s Sustainable Living Plan aimed at helping the generation to grow and live in the world to make it better for the benefit of others and called on all persons who qualify to join.

He added that the experience and prices of lap tops, galaxy tabs, mobile phones and others that come with it will be worth it.

Mr. Dontoh expressed optimism that this would help to whip up the excitement and passion among students in areas of creativity and strategy, consistency with issues and subsequently help to address unemployment as their capacity will be well built to empower them to enable them start their own businesses.
