UT Financial Services to help change face of banking

Ho, Jan. 31, GNA - The UT Financial Services, is poised to bring innovations into Ghana's banking sector. The financial institution is to help transform the dreary corporate dictated banking process to a market-oriented and customer-focused business.

Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for UT, gave the assurance at a cocktail for clients of it Ho branch on Friday, said the "The UT Bank would be responsive to the needs of it customers." Mr Eric Kwesi Fia, Ho Branch Credit Manager of UT, said the Bank was committed to supporting the socio-economic development of the Volta Region.

Mr John Obinnim, CEO of Jokes Mobile Phones in Ho, a client, in an interview with GNA, lauded UT for providing credit expeditiously but slammed it for charging high interest rates and giving short period for payment. Sophia Lissah, UT Media and Public Relations Manager, said UT business credits were short-term and beneficiaries must have the capacity to manage the credits. 3
