Unichem Ghana picks two awards at 2019 Ghana Pharma Awards

One of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Ghana, Unichem Ghana Group made another good showing in the just ended Ghana Pharma Awards 2019 held at the Kempinski Hotel on 21st June 2019.

The second edition of the Awards Programme, under the theme Celebrating Excellence in the Pharmaceutical Industry was beautifully put together by Globe Productions in partnership with Pharmacy Council, Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, Food and Drugs Authority, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Ghana and Ghana Standard Authority.

The Ghana Pharma Awards provides a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.

The awards cut across pharmaceutical agents, distributors, manufacturers, government agencies, insurance and financial institutions and more. This year, winners took away a medal, plaque and a certificate for each of the awards.

Unichem Ghana Group was one of the most nominated companies, appearing under as many as six categories. At the end of the day, it clinched two of the coveted awards - Excellence in Pharma OTC & Herbal Product of the Year (with Man-Up, one of its flagship products).

Speaking on the side-lines after the program, Mr. Vishaal Mohan, Director - Sales and Marketing who was visibly elated said Unichem’s showing in many categories and eventually picking up those two important awards was not by chance but by dint of hard work.

He noted that excellence had been the underpinning hallmark for the company under the inspiration of their Managing Director and Executive Chairman, Mr. Raj D. Mohan. He was therefore not surprised that Unichem picked the Excellence in Pharma, OTC award.

For his part, the Director - Creative & Business Development, Mr. Jason Mohan revealed that concerted effort went into developing the brand for their products, including Man-Up, which won the Herbal Product of the Year. As pioneers in the introduction of Sexual Health related products in Ghana, Unichem has decided to currently promote Man-Up which is a potent herbal solution to the low self-esteem many men are suffering owing to erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and related sexual challenges.
