Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the Deputy Minister of Transport, has called on the private sector to take advantage of Government’s agenda on Public Private Partnerships to create job opportunities for the youth.
The PPP are mechanisms for government to procure and implement public infrastructure and services using the resources and expertise of the private sector for national development.
Mrs Mogtari made the call during the launch of the Toyota forklift at the Achimota Golf Club in Accra.

She explained that the plant would serve as knowledge transfer base especially for Ghanaian youth studying technical areas of education.
She urged companies to engage the Ministry for other opportunities streamlined to develop the transportation sector.
Mr Yoshio Ishii, Group Manager of Toyota in charge of India, Africa and Middle East, said the Toyota forklifts feature rugged construction, advanced technology and the perfect design for optimum performance and value.
“It is equipped with optimum lifting and lowering speeds for an optimum material handling experience,” he added.
He urged stakeholders in the transport, construction, agriculture and handling sectors to seize the opportunity to experience the benefits and use of Toyota Forklifts and Material Handling.
