Vodafone partners Whizzkids SuccessMaker to open e-learning centre

Accra, June 7, GNA - Telecom brand of the year, Vodafone Ghana, in partnership with WhizzKids SuccessMaker, a computer-based Maths and English company, has opened an e-learning centre at the Vodafone internet cafe at Cantonment.

A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency said the facility would engage children aged five to 14 years to receive Maths and English Tuition that was expected to accomplish a year's progress in just six months on average following students' initial assessment.

"The collaboration between Vodafone Ghana and WhizzKids Successmaker will deliver technology-based, high quality primary education that provides the skills and knowledge students need to succeed in a rapidly globalising world."

It said the courses on offer are aligned to the Ghanaian, British and American curricula, a one of a kind initiative in the country that will benefit students immensely.

The statement further said WhizzKids SuccessMaker has selected an award winning educational software as a key teaching tool which is a broad, adaptive curriculum mapped closely to the national curriculum.

"This allows the WhizzKids staff to teach the targeted age group in the most effective way possible; the course structure also allows for maximum teacher-student interaction."

According to Carmen Bruce-Annan, Head of Corporate Affairs at Vodafone Ghana, 93This initiative is another demonstration of our ultimate aim of empowering Ghanaians to reach their potential.
