Vodafone unveils the best smartphone so far in Ghana

Accra, Sept. 15, GNA – Telecommunications giant, Vodafone Ghana, has launched the latest and best smartphone so far, the Samsung Galaxy S II, in the Ghanaian market, affirming its leadership in consumer innovation and technology.

Being the first to also introduce the latest Blackberry Torch phone in the country, Vodafone Ghana, is bringing this new device with the latest mobile technology to solidify its partnership with Samsung in Ghana.

The uniquely designed touch screen device, gives HD quality images and dual core processor that makes it the fastest mobile device currently on the market, offering an extremely user friendly interface.

Ghanaian phone lovers can now watch full HD quality videos and effortless switch between 450 applications with the minimal response time on the device which also got to the US market this month.

Coupled with Vodafone’s 3G network and data packages which gives the customer value for money, Angela Hesse-Owusu, Vodafone Ghana’s Head of Terminals, said the Galaxy S II gives nothing but superior customer experience.

“Vodafone chose to introduce the Samsung Galaxy S II to its customers because it offers the best user experience. We are constantly looking at ways to keep our customers engaged by offering them the latest devices,” she added.

“We are the first to introduce the Blackberry Torch and the web box to Ghanaians and we will continue to be first to introduce the latest devices to our customers,” noted.

Providing details to the astonishing features, Vodafone Go-To-The Market Manager, Thomas Banaman Mensah said, “The Samsung Galaxy S II is the slimmest (thinnest) phone one can find on the market today with dimensions of 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5mm.”

It is one of the thinnest smartphones on the market at the moment, rivaling the likes of the iPhone 4 and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc for the title.

The collaboration with Samsung, the fastest growing electronics company in Africa, is expected to give customers a great after sale service within the Vodafone shops all over the country and the Samsung device partners.

The new Galaxy S II was released in more than 120 countries, and it is expected to reach the U.S. shores September this month. South Korea and United Kingdom were the first markets to receive the device.

Reports indicate that demand for the new smartphone is so high that Samsung was not able to meet worldwide shipment demands.
