…Wants Adams Advertising To Do Media War

News Desk Report

The West African Monetary Institute (WAMI), whose only resolve is to work for the attainment of the ECO currency is out of duty line, diverting cash to do media battles.

This paper has scooped from the offices of WAMI that the entity has contracted Adams Advertising Limited to do damage control and repair the Institute’s battered image.

The crafty elements at WAMI have christened the public relations gimmickry from Adams Advertising “online media support.” Sources say the media firm has already been paid some monies to begin the image building and lying crusade.

WAMI, which is supposed to uphold highest administrative and governance standards has not put for international competitive tendering the “online media support” job.

Exclusive documents intercepted from the offices of WAMI have detailed the work of Adams Advertising in terms of matching Capitaline and Ghana Daily boot for boot and counter all stories using Joy FM, Ghana News Agency, Ghanaweb and other news outlets.

Our Editor, Livingstone Pay Charlie has assured that Capitaline and Ghana Daily will use only the truth and the correct happenings at WAMI as weapons in the so-called battle.

“I want to assure them, since they have brought it on, we are ready. They will rather lose as their financial applications sent to some places will not be honoured. I know they have applied to get some finance from some places. We will now tell the world how they will improperly utilize and embezzle those monies. Trust me,” he said.

We have taken delivery of the invoice and payment vouchers involved in this criminal deal between Adams Advertising and WAMI and we shall be putting everything in the public domain.

Ever since Capitaline and its sister publication Ghana Daily have reported some issues of corruption and maladministration at the Institute, desperate measures have been employed to cover up.

WAMI is currently under probe from Guinea and the latest illegal deal it entered into with Adams Advertising is lending credence to the fact that the Institute has been misusing funds generated by member countries and other bodies who have the interest of the ECO at heart.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Guinea, Mr Lounseny Nabe who is the current chairperson of all member states’ Central Bank Governors, has expressed disgust at the events at WAMI in a letter to the Governor of Ghana’s Central Bank Mr Amissah Arthur some two months ago and called for a committee to investigate WAMI.

The Committee probing the Institute spent two weeks in Accra and its damning report on WAMI will soon be published by this paper.

WAMI has postponed the issuing of the ECO three times, a development that has made some West Africans to question their competence.

Our searchlight is eagerly fixed on WAMI.

Stay tuned for more.
