Accra, March 8, GNA - WATS Limited Ghana, a Rana Motors Group Compan= y, is expanding the network of the world acclaimed vehicle servicing concept, VULCO, in efforts to promote safety and prevent accidents on the roads. Ghana is the first of 13 countries in West Africa, where VULCO has bee= n introduced to promote high quality vehicle servicing to contribute to high vehicle performance and to help minimize road accidents due to tyre faults. Under the concept, vehicles are examined and fixed by experts for a range of services, including wheel alignment, wheel balancing, oil change, brakes, among others at affordable prices. All these services are provided at a single location, providing convenience for the customer.
Opening the VULCO centre at the 37 Total Filling Station, Mr Vinay Kapoor, Managing Director WATS, said most road accidents were due to poor fitting of tyres and other mechanical problems.
He said through the state of the art equipment and efficient staff at the Service centre such fitting problems would be addressed for customers. Mr Kapoor said the company would later this year launch an education campaign on the correct use of tyres.
Mr Octavian Velcan, General Manager, Goodyear Middle East, said the Ghanaian market was prepared for such a quality service hence the decision to open offices to respond to customer needs. He said the concept would be upgraded in future to meet the other need= s of consumers.
Abdul-Rahim Siddique, Retail Network Manager TOTAL, said the company would support the establishment of many more of such service centres at selected stations across the country. Apart from the 37 and Adenta centres, other VULCO centres can be found in Tema, the Spintex area, Dansoman and Takoradi.
