Whirlpool organizes training course for technicians

Accra, July 13, GNA - Whirlpool, an American home appliance manufacturer, on Tuesday began a training workshop for its in-house technicians across Africa to offer quality service to consumers. It would also offer training opportunity to corporate consumers that use in-house technicians such as Taysec, Volta River Authority, Anglogold Ashanti and Ghana Brewery Limited.

The workshop, which is the first to be organized in Africa, forms part of the Company's quality delivery programme aimed at equipping technicians with the requisite skill to meet the demand of consumers. The Company manufactures household appliances, such as refrigerators, cooking utensils, washing machines, microwave appliances and other built-in-devices.

Resource persons tapped form the United States and Europe would train the participants on microwave and cooking range, USA dryers, air conditions, washing machines and "symphony 2" cooling range. Mr Luca Cardani, Export Manager Africa and Near East, urged participants to take the training course seriously to upgrade their technical know-how.
