Why Ghanair Boss Was Fired

I have just read the news item headed Why Ghanair Boss Was Fired. It was alleged by the Board that the CEO's "laissez-faire attitude is killing the airline slowly?,. "The Board conceded that as part of the recovery process, a recommendation was made for Ghana Airways to enter into a contractual arrangement with Global Air, an Australian-based aircraft operator. ?A general overview of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) prepared for the purpose appeared acceptable?

The reference to Global Air as an Australian based company caught my eye. I did a quick check on the company on the website of the Australian Investments and Securities Commission (ASIC)using the name Global Air and the extract of the two top compabies with Global Air in the names has some disturbing information and I produce the details without comment because no ACN (Australian Companies Number of ABN (Australian Business Number) was provided to enable an absolute identification of the company to be made.
In addition there were other companies with Global in their name list at the end) It is possible that the trading name is different from what is in the news item but I hope before the MOU was signed someone did a thorough check of the company and the due diligence test was also undertaken. If further details about the company is provided it might be possible to do further checks. The web address for ASIC for a free check is www.asic.gov.au.
