YEA to engage 500 Ghanaian IT graduates

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is to engage 500 Ghanaian IT graduates after it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) today, Thursday, 2 November, 2017.

The YEA is expected to pay the graduates, projected to be made up of 250 males and 250 female beneficiaries, a monthly allowance not below the minimum wage for a two-year period.

GIFEC’s job is to train and post the graduates in their offices across the country and pay monthly stipends to the interns.

As part of the agreement, GIFEC will set them up after the two-year period.

Ms Lydia Atiemo, Deputy CEO in charge of Finance and Administration, signed on behalf of YEA while Abraham Kofi Asante signed on behalf of GIFEC.
