As part of efforts to provide housing for middle to upper income earners, a new residential apartment has been opened for purchase and rental at the Airport West area in Accra.

Yagmur Group, developers of the ‘Mirage Residence’, hopes the project would help complement government efforts in providing affordable housing for the populace.

The 18-storey ‘Mirage Residence,’ with a Hotel Concept, has a two-level underground floor for car parking, a hotel-like lobby, with the rest of the 15-storeys consisting of one and two-bedroom apartments.

Mr Osman Karatas, the Board Chairman of Yagmur Group, said the company decided to develop a hotel concept with social amenities because most residential areas in the country were regular houses with four-walls with residents having to go out to enjoy certain social amenities.

He said the mirage provided social amenities like a pharmacy, mini mart, barbering shop, play-station room, indoor kids room, outside play garden for kids, gym, a café and restaurant.

As regards affordability, Mr Karatas said it targeted middle to high class income earners, and the rooms ranged from one bed-room apartment to a two-bedroom apartment.

Mr Cahit Ozcan, the General Manager for Yagmur Group, said the mirage residence was to offer a home for investors and international visitors of all levels. “Our goal is to preserve and provide comfort and elegance of a hotel.” “We have brought a concept like this because in Ghana when you have a facility, or when you need these services you have to go out but at mirage, we have all at one spot.”
