Zain Debuts With ‘Movietastic Tuesdays’

Accra, Ghana; May 25, 2010: In what promises to be yet another reward for customers loyalty, leading mobile operator, Zain Ghana, in partnership with Silverbird Cinema, has unveiled a new package tagged ‘Movietastic Tuesdays’ to give its customers a total and exciting movie experience every Tuesdays for the next coming months.

Another ground-breaking offer by Zain Movietastic Tuesdays will offer customers on the network with opportunities to watch choice movies at the prestigious Silverbird Cinema every week by simply sending the word “fun” via Short Messaging Service (SMS) to the shortcode 1020.

Using the premier of the block-buster, the “Prince of Persia” as a launch pad for Moviestatic Tuesdays yesterday at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra, the company’s Marketing Manager, Mr. Tara Squire, said “Zain decided to go the extra mile in delighting its customers because of its believe that Ghanaians who are very hardworking by nature, deserves a break from the everyday hustling and bustling”.

“We thought that a few good laugh and some breath-holding moments at the cinema would do the magic of relaxing peoples nerves and also relieve accumulated stress to ginger productivity and effectiveness at all times.”

He added that “Moviestatic was strategically designed for Tuesdays because it is a low movie traffic day which provides excellent flexibility of time for all categories of its customers to let their hair down and catch a good movie to further clear, sharpen and prepare their minds for the rest of the week’s tasks”.

Giving a breakdown on the mechanics of the offer, Squire stated that all a customer needs to do is to send via SMS, the word “fun” to 1020 to stand a chance of being selected to experience a Moviestatic Tuesday. The more SMS a customer sends, the more his chances of winning a Moviestatic ticket, he added.Every selected winner will receive ticket codes by SMS which will be used to redeem a ticket at Silverbird every Tuesday.

The uniqueness of this offer is further enhanced by the possibility of code transfer, were a winner can transfer ticket to a friend or loved one should the winner decide not to attend or is constrained by other reasons. All such a customer need do is to simply send the word and the recipient number “(transfer) (subscriber number)” to 1020.

Also, apart from offering free tickets to lucky winners, the company has set aside a bouquet of other goodies that include free bottles of drinks with complimentary boxes of popcorn at the cinema, 50% discount for movie goers who purchase tickets with ZAP and a window of opportunity for free ticket winners to bring a friend for half of the ticket price.

In addition, winners of Moviestatic Tuesdays will automatically be given GHC 5.00 in airtime for on-net use and also a chance to win fabulous prizes such a 3G handsets and exotic electronic gadgets.

Moviestatic Tuesdays offer is open to both Zain prepaid and postpaid customers as revealed by the marketing manager, who urged those that are not yet on the network of choice to quickly, get on board by simply purchasing and activating a line to enjoy the “wonderful world” of Zain.
