Zoom Alliance, another partnership by Zoomlion Ghana Limited which aims at providing a common operational platform to address challenges facing waste management, has been inaugurated in Accra.
Zoom Alliance is also to provide a platform for waste management operators on the basis of trust and transparency by complimenting human and financial resources for satisfactory waste collection and disposal.
Mr. Lawrence Laryea, Operations Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, made this known at a press soirée for editors of media institutions in Accra to brief them on their activities so far with special em-phasis on how the Zoom Alliance Project, as well as how to ensure a filth-free environment as the 2012 electioneering campaign gathers momentum.
Mr. Laryea said it was now time to bring together all waste management operators by mobilizing both human and financial needs of partners to provide the best practice options for improved service delivery standards.
Mr. Laryea said the company had come out with an electronic card with unique identity cards for cus-tomers and Payment of Service Delivery Service devices which would also be made available at Fuel Stations and shops for easy access.
Mr. A. B. Adjei, Managing Director of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, said the company was hopeful to dis-tribute one million waste bins by 2014.
He said the company was putting up an Institution of Sanitation and Waste Management Training which would provide skills in waste management and there are plans to install an oil waste treatment plant in Takoradi.
