Main index drops again as SG-SSB continues to lose grounds

Accra, June 29, GNA - The main stock index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) dropped again in quiet trading on Thursday as investors continued to stay off the market.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, fell by 2.82 points to 4,833.02 points from 4,835.84 while change for the year to date stood at 1.34 per cent.

On the broader market, there were three price changes - two down and one up.

SG-SSB lost 50 cedis at 6,750 cedis and Aluworks was down by 10 cedis at 6,740 cedis. However, Fan Milk Limited rose by four cedis 15,935 cedis.

Traded volumes stood at 77,800 shares while market capitalisation was 95,574.57 billion cedis.
