Accra, Nov. 6, GNA - The Super Paper Products Company (SPPC) is to expand its production of toilet rolls by 30 tons a day by increasing machinery capacity to cater for the increasing local demand and for export.
Mr Probal Kumar Das, Managing Director of the company, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday, said the expansion project would be financed from the company's own resources. He said on completion, shareholders would be given the first option to increase their shares before invitation would be extended to the public.
Mr Das announced that the company had started computerising all its departments to enhance easy assessment of data on its products. The company's shareholders he said would hold an emergency general meeting at the factory premises in Accra on November 28, to vote on Private Placement on 10,000,000 ordinary shares.
The company exports 15 per cent of its products to Togo and aims at expanding exports to Benin and Burkina Faso. 6 Nov. 07
