Surf is 10 years

Accra, May 11, GNA - The Surf Publications, a private corporate entity, has espoused the support and positive relations from its clients, saying the support had contributed in disseminating information about Ghanaian businesses worldwide.

Speaking at its 10th anniversary celebration, Mr. Moses Hammond, Marketing Manager of Surf, noted that the company over the years had retained more than 80 per cent of advertisers, a situation that had contributed towards increasing investment in the country. that we would build upon the successes chalked and rectify areas where we=

have fallen short of your high expectations," he said.

Mr. Hammond said the company's first edition published in 2001, had 192 pages but the figure had increased to 864 pages, representing over 450 pe= r cent.

"The 2001 edition had 7,000 corporate entries and for 2010 we have nearly 70,000 entries. Again in 2001 we had 190 companies featuring their=

advertisement and in 2010 we have 500 representing about 260 per cent increase," he said. Mr. Hammond said the company's various publications including the Su= rf Yellow pages had become the foremost reference material for doing busines= s in Ghana. He said currently, the yellow pages online have 70,000 entries liste= d with 13,000 E-mails.

"The page receives between 12-15 new entries daily and these are fre= e listings sent through the E-mail via the free listing column on the yello= w pages home page whiles about 10 of the new listings received daily are approved online," he said. 11 May 10
