Ghana government just showed investors how much the country can be trusted. Losses for the original investors hover somewhere close to 50%. The markets will be very careful henceforth not to get burned again.

And even when a new Eurobond would become feasible again in a few years, conditions will be extremely costly. Even if that bond would be backed by the World Bank or another such institution.

It is very sad that we have a government which is always in a haste to borrow for nothing meaningful except for consumption. We have heaps of debts awaiting future generations for payment and yet still the very government which has saddled the country with debts is happy that the way has been paved to go back borrowing.
AKUFO-ADDO and his government has been a great curse to Ghana and it is hoped Ghanaians have learned their lessons in choosing their future leaders.

So if Ghanaians are so tolerant to wanton misappropriation of BORROWED MONEY ££ and $ and €, that's no business of theirs.
