  HOW to FORMALIZE that large informal sector so they're properly taxed is the main concern. My proposal is our MARKETS are key drivers of our economy and house lots of informal workers. Govt should MODERNIZE our markets, build many stalls and sell/rent it out to the traders. Traders who pick these stalls MUST HAVE GHANA CARDS, Tax ID, their business size measured and be roped into the 'Formal' sector

  The masons, carpenters etc must all be encouraged to get Ghana cards (Tax clearance numbers) that local assemblies should be able to validate and estimate regular tax deductions
