  Colonisation came to destroy the traditional gold industry in Gold Coast .Who were making the gold ear-rings and pendants for our mothers?.Who were making the gold ornamemts worn by our chiefs,kings and queens? Our own local artisans made them. Unfortunately colonisation which came to let us depend on things foreign destroyed this traditionsl industry. Now there is no turning back. We have the gold and we have the artisans. We thank Mahama that he is actualising Nkrumah's vision for the gold industry revolution in Ghana.
