If GHC5 can buy 2 eggs in Nigeria & Ivory Coast why shd it be one (1 ) in Ghana?We also have to look at the number of ppl engaging in the Chain of Distribution. Unemployment has been a huge problem in the last 2 decades and many of these ladies going into trading are not needed.

You first talk to government about importation of cheap eggs from countries who farmers gets up to 40% discount. How can the local farmer compete. Then you can come to the pricing, stop the optics. The price of crate has not come down, the medication has also not come down , electricity and water keep going up and up. Has the ndc giving him huge some of dollars in name of supporting local industry ? I am a poultry farmer , the feed cost has not dropped so dramatically , sure, there has been some reduction for maize and soya beans, buy the rest has gone up or stayed the same.
