  We didn't hear anything about development in the area so what will be the impact?
  We cannot talk about royalty alone and leave taxes and social responsibility behind.
  Hon.Kofi Buah should look beyond royalty because it doesn't help the people and the environment.Tnx.

  Yes, but the backlash from the people had overwhelmed NDC because it doesn't make sense to cancel 10% and accept 5% as the best option.

  those wealth of the Nation Ghana, would have
  Disastrous outcomes for the Future of the
  Nation and Her Peoples( Racial inhabitants).
  How would you Reduce the Benefit from 10%
  to 5%? Long live Ghana and Her Inhabitants.

  Decades ago the Arabians used to get meager royalties from the oil and gas firms until they got wiser and changed the narrative to contractee/contractor relationship where the contractor is paid for work done, this is what has made Saudi,UAE,Qatar etc fabulously wealthy today,it’s never too late to copy them but corruption is our greatest threat and enemy.

  Employment opportunities skills for Ghanaian youths that can go all over the world to work etc
  Looking at only state benefits is one sided.
  By the way most African governments have not used mineral wealth to develop their countries.
