The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, held a private meeting with key Ghanaian business leaders at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday January 21, 2026, to discuss the current business climate, challenges, and potential solutions.

According to Opemsuo Radio, the session provided an opportunity for the monarch to hear directly from prominent entrepreneurs, including Thomas Svanikier, founder of Svani Group and co-founder of Fidelity Bank; Kofi Amoa-Abban, Group CEO of Rigworld Group; Joana Gyan Cudjoe, CEO of Golden Empire Legacy Limited; Philip Tieku, CEO of Star Oil; and Daniel McKorley, founder of McDan Group.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II intends to use his moral authority to engage government stakeholders on issues affecting the private sector.

Asantehene urges political parties to support BoG Governor and his team

The meeting, held at the invitation of the Asantehene, brought together 11 business leaders in a bid to strengthen dialogue between the monarchy and Ghana’s business community.
