The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in China hosted a press soiree in Beijing to promote Ghana's 69th Independence Anniversary celebrations and highlight investment opportunities in the country, as well as the activities lined up for the 6th of March.
The event, held at the China World Summit Wing, brought together various Chinese media houses.
Ghana’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Kojo Bonsu, addressing the media, emphasised on Ghana's commitment to strengthening ties with China, highlighting the country's stable democracy, business-friendly environment, and rich cultural heritage.
He called on the Chinese media institutions to partner with the Ghana Embassy in promoting trade and investment opportunities, citing the potential for growth in various sectors such as infrastructure, clean energy IT and AI, healthcare, mineral’s processing and agriculture.
The activities lined up for the Independence Day celebrations by the Ghana Embassy include a business forum aimed at unlocking opportunities in trade and investment between Ghana and China.
The event will also feature an art exhibition showcasing Ghana's cultural heritage, including works by renowned artist Ibrahim Mahama and other talented Ghanaian artists, including a child prodigy recognised by the Guinness World Records, Ace Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, and fashion show by Nineteen57 and others will also highlight Ghana's fashion industry, with designs that blend traditional and modern styles.
Ambassador Bonsu and his embassy staff expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and the media m for their support and invited them to join Ghana in celebrating its Independence Day on March 6.
He emphasised Ghana's commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with China and exploring new areas of cooperation.
The embassy's efforts aim to promote Ghana's image as a destination for investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.
