Yes Franklin Cudjoe of Imani Africa complained seriously about buying Ghc 1,500.00 or so and all was gone in less than a day. He complained bitterly to the minister of energy before this directive was given to Gh Standards Authority. They knew fully well that the meters were calibrated to bring in illegal revenue to pay for the IMF loans taken by the previous administration. This current NDC have agreed with the IMF to quietly increase tariffs every four months. Useless NDC and NPP!!

It appears the ECG has increased or tampered with the rate it charges per kilowatt-hour. I track my prepaid meter and have noticed a decrease in the Cedi balance outstanding, since a month ago.

It feels like corruption is causing unnecessary obstacles. My brother applied for a meter in October 2025, paid all the required fees, and he is still waiting for it to be delivered or installed.

GSA cannot test all.meters before deployment. They only take samples and sometime, they only walk through to award certifications.

GSA cannot test all.meters before deployment. They only take samples and sometime, they only walk through to award certifications.

I have been in the industry before. They can confirm how many meters they can test per how much hours. They should prove us wrong by showing to the people their setup to test all meters before they are sold to us.

When a batch of meters arrived from wherever, only samples are sent to GSA. It is even possible that those sample may be compromised. ECG should give us a break

That kind of black mentality and attitude of poor service provision and cheating, is what the public is witnessing.
