In commemoration of World Health Day 2026, Softcare FM Manufacturing Ltd. proudly reaffirmed its commitment to advancing public health and promoting responsible healthcare practices in Ghana by serving as a lead sponsor and strategic partner of Consumer Health Week 2026, officially launched in Accra.
Organised by Development Impact Partners in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, and supported by key national stakeholders including the Ministry of Health and the Food and Drugs Authority Ghana, the initiative brought together policymakers, healthcare professionals, development partners, civil society, and the media to drive a unified agenda of improving health literacy and empowering citizens.
As a leading local manufacturer in the hygiene and personal care sector, Softcare’s participation reflects its long-standing belief that public health advancement begins with informed and empowered citizens.
Through its sponsorship and active engagement, the company underscored the vital role of the private sector in complementing national health priorities and strengthening community-level awareness.
Anchored on this year’s global theme, “Together for Health, Stand with Science,” the initiative emphasises evidence-based decision-making, patient safety, and the responsible use of health products—values that closely align with Softcare’s operational philosophy and quality standards.
During the launch event held at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, representatives from the Ghana Health Service highlighted the importance of “healthy citizenship,” noting that improved health outcomes depend not only on access to services but also on the ability of individuals to interpret information and make informed healthcare choices.
Softcare FM Manufacturing Ltd., through its involvement, reaffirmed its dedication to:
• Supporting nationwide health education and awareness initiatives
• Promoting safe, high-quality hygiene and personal care products
• Strengthening collaboration with regulatory and public health institutions
• Contributing to a more resilient, inclusive, and people-centred healthcare system
As part of the week-long activities, Softcare actively participated in community outreach programmes, public education campaigns, and the Consumer Health Engagement, Learning and Innovation Fair—engaging directly with citizens to promote hygiene awareness, maternal and infant care, and responsible product usage.
A spokesperson for the company noted: “At Softcare, we see health not merely as a sectoral issue, but as a shared societal responsibility. Our partnership in Consumer Health Week reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting Ghana’s vision of a healthier, more informed, and empowered population.”
The World Health Organization Country Office in Ghana also reiterated the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration, digital innovation, and sustained investment in health systems — areas where private sector actors like Softcare play an increasingly critical role.
Consumer Health Week 2026 marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s journey toward strengthening health literacy, enhancing trust in healthcare systems, and ensuring that every citizen has access to safe, reliable, and science-based health information.
Through initiatives such as this, Softcare FM Manufacturing Ltd. continues to demonstrate strong corporate citizenship, aligning its business mission with national development priorities and reaffirming its role as a responsible partner in Ghana’s public health ecosystem.
