Abraham Koomson is the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Federation of Labour
The Secretary-General of the Ghana Federation of Labour, Abraham Koomson, has strongly criticised former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta over his handling of the country’s economy.
Speaking on Ahotor FM on April 11, 2026, Koomson described the former minister’s current situation as a consequence of his actions while in office, suggesting it reflects the impact of his stewardship of the economy.
He argued that Ofori-Atta should return to Ghana to account for his tenure, stressing that avoiding scrutiny could worsen public perception and affect his personal and family reputation.

Koomson further alleged that the former minister’s management of the economy contributed to challenges that has affected the country, adding that it has also impacted the image of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He also criticised the NPP, stating that the party lacks the moral authority to comment on governance issues due to its economic record while in power.
The labour leader urged the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to actively challenge the opposition and highlight its past performance in government.
