GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited emerged as a major winner at the 10th Ghana Beverage Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, securing three top awards on the night.
The company picked up Spirit Brand of the Year, Bitters of the Year, and Indigenous Brand of the Year, highlighting its strong performance in Ghana’s beverage industry.
Castle Bridge Gin led the wins for GIHOC, clinching Spirit of the Year 2025. The brand, which previously won in 2019, returned to the top, reinforcing its position in the spirits category.
Herb Afrik also delivered a notable performance, winning Bitters of the Year and Local Beverage of the Year 2025. The brand had earlier won the bitters category in 2020.
Chief Executive Officer Jones Borteye Applerh represented the company at the event, accompanied by Sales and Marketing Manager Owusu Gyabaah Acheampong and other staff.
The awards come just over a year after Applerh assumed leadership of the company in 2025. GIHOC’s performance is being seen as a sign of renewed growth following a challenging period.
In a statement, the company attributed the achievement to the commitment of its staff, customer loyalty, and its nationwide distribution network.
GIHOC says it remains focused on delivering quality beverage products while strengthening its position in the industry.
