  If Cocobod cannot guarantee at least a full season price for farmers, it should cease to exist, it must shut down. Farmers cannot afford to bankrole fatbelly officials sitting in silver tower in Accra, some of whom have never stepped a toe on cocoa farms, to be adjusting prices of their products (mostly downwards.)
  
  If Cocobod is going to adjust prices multiple times midyear with farmers not knowing how their incomes would be affected - just like plantain or maize farmer - why should the poor farmer be taxed to pay these potbelly officials?

  THE GOVERNMENT AND COCOBOD BROKE THE LAW WITH THE MID-SEASON REDUCTION OF COCOA PRODUCER PRICES WHICH WAS NOT APPROVED BY COCOA FARMERS AND THE FARMERS WERE ALSO NOT CONSULTED. EFFECTIVELY, MAHAMA BROKE THE LAW. MAHAMA HAS BEEN SAYING RECENTLY THAT LANDLORDS CANNOT INCREASE THEIR RENTS UNLESS REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. LANDLORDS CANNOT INCREASE THEIR RENTS THAT THEY HAVE AGREED WITH TENANTS. THAT IS A VIOLATION OF THE RENTAL LAWS IN GHANA. HOWEVER, MAHAMA DECREASED COCOA PRODUCER PRICES WHICH HAVE BEEN AGREED WITH FARMERS WITHOUT THEIR CONSULTATION DURING THE MID-SEASON.
