The Marketing Manager of MaxBuy, Rita Osei Tetteh, has disclosed that the company's newly opened East Legon branch is designed to serve customers across all income levels, from high-income earners to low-income households.
Speaking at the grand opening of the store on Thursday, April 30, 2026, she said the expansion forms part of MaxBuy's strategy to bring its products and services closer to customers while strengthening its presence in Ghana's retail electronics market.
According to her, the company identified East Legon as a strategic location after successfully operating branches in areas such as Madina and Circle.
"We are the leading retail electronics store in Ghana. We have a lot of branches nationwide, and we decided to come to East Legon because we did not have a shop here yet. We have branches in Madina and Circle, so we thought, why not come to East Legon? That is why we are here today for our grand opening," she said.

She noted that MaxBuy's products and payment options have been tailored to accommodate customers from different economic backgrounds.
"At MaxBuy, we target high-income earners, the middle class, and low-income households. Everyone is welcome because customers can either pay cash or take advantage of our buy-now-pay-later policy," she stated.
She explained that the flexible payment arrangement allows customers who may not have the full amount upfront to purchase products and pay over time.
"If you don't have cash or you don't have the full amount, you are welcome. And if you do have it all, we have also got you covered. Our target market is everyone, regardless of income level," she added.
The Marketing Manager further disclosed that the East Legon branch offers a wide range of electronics and home appliances from leading global brands.
"When you come to MaxBuy, we have brands such as LG appliances, Samsung phones, iPhones, Tecno, Infinix, itel, Chigo, Binatone, and Asano. All these brands are available here," she said.
To celebrate the opening, MaxBuy is offering customers discounts of up to 50 percent on all products at the branch.
"Today, being our opening day, we have decided to give customers huge discounts of up to 50 percent on all our products, not just selected items," she revealed.
She also announced promotional activities that will allow customers to win prizes during the opening period.
"There will be treasure hunts in-store where customers can win mobile phones, blenders, and other exciting prizes. It is not just about discounts; customers can also come and win something," she stated.
She encouraged residents of East Legon and nearby communities to visit the store and take advantage of the promotions.
"The discounts cover everything from blenders and mobile phones to air conditioners, refrigerators, and television sets. Everything has been discounted," she added.
The new branch is located on Boundary Road, opposite Allied Oil in East Legon.
