The restoration follows a triple fibre cut that disrupted telecommunications services across the five northern regions and parts of the Oti Region.
The cuts occurred on three separate fibre routes. The Kintampo–Buipe route, on the MTN section, recorded multiple cuts, while the Wakawaka–Bamboi route, on the Telecel section, was also affected.
The Hohoe–Jasikan route, on the NITA section, also recorded a cut.
The disruptions affected 694 2G and 3G sites and 521 4G sites, which experienced either service denial or significant degradation.
The Minister said teams from the three operators were dispatched to identify the causes of the cuts and restore services under the supervision of the National Communications Authority (NCA).
