From the market woman who relies on Telecel Cash to run her business, to the startup founder who depends on Telecel Business to connect with customers, to the frontline Engineer, Retail or Call Centre Agent who resolves issues with a smile, every connection counts.

This October, Telecel Ghana is putting that belief into action as it launches its annual CARE Month, a month-long, celebration dedicated to celebrating the customers who make the business possible and empowering the employees who serve them every day.

Held to coincide with Global Customer Service Week, this year's celebration is anchored on the global theme "The Extra Mile" and Telecel Ghana's sub-theme "CARE That Counts."

Mercy Dawn Akude, General Manager, Customer Operations reiterates that CARE Month is more than a commemoration; it is a commitment to turn appreciation into tangible action and everyday service into measurable impact for customers, employees and communities.

At the heart of CARE Month is the customer. Throughout October, Telecel Ghana will show appreciation through customer appreciation visits, retail shop surprises and rewards, loyalty redemption campaigns, and dedicated service engagements across both consumer and enterprise segments.

The celebration has already begun with the marking of the International Week of the Deaf through the Super Care initiative, reinforcing Telecel's commitment to inclusive, accessible service for every customer, regardless of ability.

Telecel Ghana believes exceptional customer experience begins with empowered and cared-for employees. To equip staff to go the extra mile, CARE Month will feature intensive customer experience training, frontline engagements with leadership, peer-to-peer recognition programmes, mental health and wellness sessions and team-building activities to strengthen collaboration across the business.

Beyond customers and employees, Telecel is extending its care to the community through the Telecel Ghana Foundation. Two flagship initiatives are planned in the Volta Region: a practical STEM training programme for students at the Volta School for the Deaf in Hohoe to expand their digital skills and future opportunities, and a free community health screening exercise in Ho, including breast cancer awareness and screening, to promote preventive healthcare.

Speaking on the celebration, Mercy says, "CARE is at the heart of everything we do. CARE Month reminds us that we are in business because our customers choose us every day. It is our moment to celebrate their loyalty and to empower our people to serve them even better.

This month challenges us to go beyond good intentions and deliver care that counts - actions that create real, measurable value. Whether it is solving a customer issue quickly, recognizing a colleague who went the extra mile, or investing in our community, every action counts."

For Telecel Ghana, CARE Month is more than a calendar event. It is a culture of listening more closely, responding more effectively, and proving that genuine care is best demonstrated through actions that make a measurable difference.
