British Airways will begin operating a daily service on the Accra-London Heathrow route from April 2nd 2002.
A release from British Airways said the introduction of the daily service underlines the airline's commitment to offering the best service to customers to and from Ghana.
British Airways already offers a unique service to travelers from Ghana with its African Visitor Service. "As part of this service, passengers travelling on British Airways to and from Ghana can be met by staff in London Heathrow who speak their language and understand their culture. Languages include Twi Fante, Ga, Yoruba, Swahili and Arabic. They can also be assisted with formal procedures like check-in and boarding, immigrations and transfers. The service is complimentary to all British Airways passengers travelling in its African route upon request. The African Visitor Service has helped to improve customers' service and has won the airline many awards."

British Airways says the increased frequencies should also help facilitate Ghana's ambition to be the gateway to the sub-region and indeed the continent.
