New owners of Merchant Bank, Fortiz has stated that together with its general partner FirstBanc, it has the requisite human and financial resources to turn around the fortunes of Merchant Bank.
In a statement signed by Yvone Ofosu-Appiah, it said its mission is to invest in distressed companies, restructure and revamp them in order to generate long term value and profitability.
It is therefore assuring all stakeholders in Merchant Bank that it will put in place appropriate strategies and measures to grow the bank to become one of the top three banks in Ghana.
It explained that in due course it will unveil plans to make Merchant Bank the bank of choice in Ghana and West Africa.
Fortiz was incorporated this year under the Companies Code, Act 179.
