ECG, NEDCo implement reduced tariff regime

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) have begun the implementation of the reduced tariff regime which was agreed during negotiation between government and organised labour after initial hikes in price of power.

The power distribution companies said the reduction in tariffs, which will apply to both residential and non-residential customers, will be backdated to commence from December, 2015 when the tariff increments were announced.
