Accra, Oct. 22, GNA - The Accra Bourse on Wednesday continued its impressive performance with the All-Share Index, the key market measure, going up 10.55 points in a dull market that saw traded volumes slumped. The index, which registered a modest gain on Monday rallied to close at 2,863.15 points from 2,852.60 at the previous close. Traded shares, however, fell heavily to close at 90,300 shares compared to 212,700 registered on Monday.
Change in the year to date ended at 105.20 per cent.
In the broader market, there were nine price changes, all positive. Unilever Ghana gained 10 cedis to close at 9,915 cedis; Ghana Commercial Bank continues its upsurge with 85 cedis at 5,900 cedis, SSB Bank gained 151 cedis to finish 15,851 cedis, Fanmilk 15 cedis at 3,415 cedis and Guiness Ghana Limited was up by six cedis at 4,606 cedis. Other gainers at the session were the Trust Bank of the Gambia, which went up one cedi at 7,801 cedis, Home Finance Company one cedi at 3,051 cedis, Standard Chartered Bank one cedi 59,902 cedis and British American Tobacco one cedi at 2,901 cedis.
Market capitalisation edged up to 10,860.39 billion cedis from 10,833.77 billion cedis at the previous close on Monday.
