The Chief Executive Officer (CE0) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP), Mr. John Kumah has assured the District Business Councils (DBC’s) of the readiness of his outfit to support them in decentralizing Government’s entrepreneurship agenda of supporting small businesses and start-ups.
Mr. John Kumah made this remark during the launch of the District Business Councils on Friday, September 21, 2018, at Ashanti Mampong in the Ashanti Region by the Private Enterprise Federation. The event was chaired by Mampong Nkosuohene, Nana Agyei Duku. Asante Mamponghene, Nana Dr Daasebre Osei-Bonsu was the special guest of honour.
Speaking at the event, NEIP CEO, Mr. John Kumah mentioned that businesses and start-ups irrespective of their locations in Ghana must be given the needed incentives to thrive if they are viable.
“We need to decentralize entrepreneurship, every Ghanaian business no matter where the idea is birthed must be watered to grow. As for NEIP we are ready to support your business no matter how big or small, hence we look forward to with the council to rake in more support for businesses and start-ups” he said.
The District Business Councils by the Private Enterprise Federation provide business advisory services and support to Small Medium Enterprises in various districts.
