Dzifa Abodakpi inducted into the 'Ghana Feminine Hall Of Fame'

Self-motivated and results-driven, Dzifa Abodakpi has been inducted into the Ghana Feminine Hall of Fame, an initiative of Ghana Business Executive Magazine.

This initiative aims at recognizing the achievements of women as well as identify and publicize role models whose accomplishments would encourage and inspire women in general across the country.

Miss Dzifa Abodakpi happened to be one of such role models.

The seasoned business leader who is currently the Territory Sales Lead of IBM Ghana was part of other Ghanaian women who have also excelled in various levels. In all 25 women were inducted in a beautiful ceremony held on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Miss Abodakpi and the other inductees are to act as advocates to formulate and implement policies as well as mentor at least two women every year.

Inducting the group, the Minister for Gender and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison commended organisers of the event and challenged the inductees to leave a legacy which they would be remembered for.

Meanwhile, media personality, Gifty Anti was unanimously selected as leader of the distinguished professionals and businesswomen.

Dzifa was the first Ghanaian Country Head of Inlaks Ghana and the youngest to attain the role in the history of the company. She contributed to the remarkable revenue growth through client acquisition in universal banking, microfinance, infrastructure and enterprise solutions.

She played a core role in the computerization and integration of rural community banks (RCBs) in Ghana under the MiDA project which was sponsored through the Millennium Compact Agreement (MCA) of the US Government. This project made a significant impact on poverty alleviation in our rural farming communities.

She is widely travelled, with international and intercultural experience. She has major skills, among others, in leadership, people management, business development, corporate communications, negotiation, large account management, global alliances and strategic selling.

In August 2017, she was adjudged the Most Outstanding Female IT Country Executive of the year at the 3rd Feminine Ghana Achievements Awards in Accra.

During the awards a citation presented to her read, in part: “Having overseen the sales and strategy functions at Global Solutions Ghana, now Inlaks Limited, your skills in negotiation, presentations and complex sales management with regard to computer hardware and software have proved second to none. These skills, indeed, have been crucial to the success the company has had in expanding sales and market share to an increasingly astute and affluent clientele base. Indeed your sales and marketing strategies have proved invaluable in these regards and are a testimony to your exemplary professionalism.”

Speaking to the media after the event, Ms. Abodakpi said the honour has challenged her to do more, adding, “my advice is to learn as much as you can from anyone. One of the things that really helped me was my apprenticeship. I got the opportunity to be mentored on this job and it helped maximize my potential. To all the women out there, you need a mentor. Just be humble and learn and once can be a good student, eventually you’d become great”. Miss Abodakpi joined IBM in 2018 as the Territory Sales Lead responsible for revenue growth and client advocacy of their Enterprise Financial Services Market/

She has BSc (Hon.) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Master of Business Administration (in view) Finance and Risk Management at the Business School Netherlands (BSN), Holland.

She is an old girl of Aburi Girls Senior High School.
