GSE slides on Starwin loss

Accra, Aug. 24, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, slipped in trading on Wednesday going down by 0.64 points on a 50-cedi loss by Starwin Products Limited (SPL). The index ended trading at 4,837.57 points from 4,838.21 points on Tuesday.

However, change for the year-to-date remained at -28.84 per cent. There were four price changes, one down and three up. Starwin Products Limited lost 50 cedis at 600 cedis. Fan Milk Limited (FML) was 16 cedis richer at 15,031, SG-SSB rose by five cedis at 7,860, Guinness Ghana Breweries gained six cedis at 6,030 and Enterprise Insurance Company was better by one cedi at 5,006 cedis. Shares that changed hands slipped further at 37,700 from 95,900 on Tuesday.


Market capitalisation was lower at 91,990.43 billion cedis from 91,992.09 billion cedis from 3,383.22 million issued shares.
